Audio interface/VOX for soundmodem

Return to Projects

This project is a parasite powered audio interface and VOX to interface a radio to the audio I/O of a computer running Thomas Sailer's soundmodem code. (or similar software eg dominoEX)

It works with 1Vac RMS input from the computer's audio Line Out and incorporates an approx 30 second transmit timeout to protect shared radio channels from congestion due to a crashed computer.

The prototype has been tested on the air and is working, however, the documentation is incomplete and should be completed in the near future...
